Cat Friendly Clinic

We understand it is stressful when you have to bring your cat to see us. This is why we are proud to have been accredited as an ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic. We are the FIRST SILVER cat friendly clinic in JOHOR. To find out more, visit www.catfriendlyclinic.org

✴ The ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic accreditation is an internationally-recognised award. It means that we have met criteria to help minimise stress to your cat in our clinic.

✴ Stress is a contributing factor to many illnesses in cats and this is why we are proud of our ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic status. We try hard to minimise as many causes of stress as possible for our feline friends when they visit the practice.

✴ As all our cat owners know, cats are not small dogs and they have very specific needs. This is why we have worked hard to achieve the ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic accreditation, to reassure our clients that all our team understand cats and their requirements.

✴ Staying in the clinic, away from their normal home, can be very stressful for cats. We do as much as we can to make cats comfortable and stress-free. Our cat patients are hospitalised in a separate, calm, quiet ward away from the dogs as part of our ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic accreditation.

✴ When you visit us, don’t be surprised if we ask you to sit in the quiet designated cat area of our waiting room. As an ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic we have separate dog and cat waiting areas to help reduce your cat’s stress.

✴ All of our team love our feline friends and are happy to help you, but we also have a specially designated Cat Advocate who has made cat care their priority. To find out who your main point of contact is for all feline enquiries (non-emergency situations), please give us a call.

✴ If you have to travel with your cat, we recommend the use of Feliway®. Using Feliway® spray in your cat’s basket 30 minutes before travelling can help to keep your cat calm. For more information, please contact the clinic and ask to speak to our Cat Advocate who will be happy to advise you.

✴ Worried about bringing your cat into the clinic? We have some tips to help reduce stress. Want to know about preventive care for your cat – call to speak to our Cat Advocate to discuss your and your cat’s specific situation.

✴ Cats are very clean, proud creatures and do not like sharing a toilet. If you have more than one feline friend, the general rule when it comes to litter trays is one per cat plus a spare.

Cat Friendly Clinic is a programme run by the International Society of Feline Medicine (the veterinary division of International Cat Care) to encourage veterinary clinics to adopt more ‘cat friendly’ approaches to reduce the stress and difficulties of veterinary visits for cats.

There is a designated cat waiting area with pet carrier holes separated from the dog waiting area. Cats are examined in the cat consultation room. Each cat wards/ boarding condominiums are double-decked (cats like to jump and play in there), isolated from other cats and dogs, undisturbed and well ventilated. Clinic is well-equipped with patient monitor system, ultrasound, operating theatre, in-house laboratory and dental machines to facilitate diagnosis and treatments. Cat owners are welcome to visit clinic as a preparation before bringing cats to clinic for check-ups or boarding.
